Overview

This four-course intermediate coach training program is intended as the next step for individuals moving toward Certified Professional Co-Active Coach®. All courses are 3 days long and are designed to be taken in sequence. The Co-Active Fundamentals course is a prerequisite to the intermediate coach training program.

Course 1: Fulfillment

In this course, you will develop skills for helping clients discover their unique values, identify self-defeating influences, and create their own vision for a compelling future. Fulfillment coaching is about helping clients to let go of preconceived rules and limitations and to step into what truly brings them alive.

Outcomes:

  • Use visualization and imagery to help clients define a vision of the future they will create
  • Assist clients in identifying their unique values and assessing their satisfaction with living those values
  • Identify a client's self-defeating influences
  • Design the relationship with your client
  • Design an initial "intake" session

Course 2: Balance

In this course, coaches learn to assist their clients in developing new perspectives and creating a plan of action grounded in commitment. Because people live in constant motion, it's easy to forget that we have a choice in everything we do. Balance coaching is about guiding clients toward making powerful life choices and selecting the experiences they want most, rather than dashing about either at the mercy of circumstances or trying to "have it all."

Outcomes:

  • Help your clients see many useful perspectives
  • Coach clients by planning from possibility rather than circumstances
  • Create a plan using our innovative "right brain" planning method
  • Use new techniques to get clients into alive, sustainable, effective action
  • Use structures to keep the client in action

Course 3: Process

In this course, coaches learn how to help clients work through emotionally-charged issues and to understand that, although uncomfortable, chaos, confusion and inertia are part of a client’s forward motion. Process coaching is about being with clients wherever they are on the flowing river of their lives, allowing them to more fully know themselves, and helping them to develop an enduring life purpose statement.

Outcomes:

  • Facilitate a life purpose statement with your clients
  • Work with emotionally charged issues with your clients
  • Use the Process coaching skills that have clients "experience" what exists for them rather than talk about it

Course 4: In the Bones

This course focuses on integrating coaching skills learned in previous courses and taking Co-Active Coaching to a higher level of impact and professionalism. It provides polish, depth and courage to better respond to a wide range of clients and coaching situations with creativity, confidence, and power. In-the-Bones coaching relies on intuition to create "in the moment" rather than applying staid techniques or rules.

Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate the ability to coach your client using the principles of Fulfillment, Balance and Process
  • Create in the moment rather than from any preconceived rules
  • Incorporate your own creativity and ability with what you have learned in previous courses
  • Articulate the principles, contexts, cornerstones and skills of Co-Active Coaching

Note: If you are attending any of our Coach Training courses in New York, please add an additional $175.00 to each tuition fee. This location-specific pricing is necessary due to the cost of delivering programs in some locations.
